Knitted Knockers

Despite what some may think, many women who undergo a mastectomy due to breast cancer do not get traditional breast prosthetics. Traditional breast prosthetics are often too expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable, and they also typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast. Knitted Knockers is a non-profit which collects donated knockers and provide them for free to breast cancer survivors. The lady who started this non-profit was a survivor of breast cancer herself, and she wanted to alleviate the pain of other women as well.

About: About Us

Our Chapter

Throughout the year, we will be crocheting/knitting knockers to donate to breast cancer survivors. At the end of the semester, we will collect the knockers and ship them to the Knitted Knockers headquarters, an organization that links knitters with breast cancer survivors. We have a goal of sending fifty knockers per semester! The knitted knockers which our school will donate will give comfort and confidence to those in need. Knitted Knockers Chattahoochee is a loving and accepting community in which we share our hobbies and encourage each other to show empathy and kindness.
